What is ¾ of 8?    6

What is 4/4 of 8?  8

What is ¼ of 12?  3

What is ⅔ of 6? 4

What is ⅕ of 5?   1

What is ⅘ of 5? 4

What is ⅘ of 15? 12

What is 3/6 of 12? 6

What is 1/13 of 26? 2

What is 1/24 of 24?  1

What is 1/30 of 60?  2

I have 2/16 of a cake at a birthday party. I keep going back for more and eat another  6/16 of a cake. What fraction of a cake have I eaten altogether?

⅓ + ⅔ =  1

1/6 + 2/6 = 0.5

1/8 + 4/8 = 0.6

1/36 + 20/36 = 0.58333333333

I have 5/21 of a cake left over from the party. Then I give 3/21 of a cake to my sisters. What fraction of a cake do I have left over?

30/36 - 7/36 = 0.63888888888
