The strange house:o

  The Strange House

Every night people never wanted to walk alone from school because there is a strange house in
the forest. People say that when they walk past the strange house they can’t see the house
it’s like it is invisible there is a theory that if you go right near the strange house you start
hearing strange noises and that’s why it’s called the strange house that’s what they believe.
So one night a brave boy went to the Strange house but as soon as he got their he looked up
and then saw dark black clouds starting to cover the moon, then he heard trees slightly
whispering and the boy was cold so he started to shiver. As he continued to walk down to the
strange house he heard noises coming from the house. He heard someone saying “Help”
in a slight whisper then he heard it again “Help” so then he said “ w-who’s their “ in a terrified
way. He was really scared but he said “ I came this far and I am not turning back ”.

Then he got even closer to the house and heard the same voice again “Help” after a couple
of times hearing the voice he got scared but he still went. As he was walking up to the door
he sees a door bell he pressed it and it didn’t work he then opened the door then said
“h-hello anyone h-here” as he continued to opened door fully he walked in quietly and
saw  the house all broken up everything was torn upside down, no furniture, no power
and he said “ this looks like a dumb a bomb site if my friends were here” but at the corner
of his eye he saw a black figure staring at him from behind and he couldn't explain what
he looked like. So then he looked back and he saw it again and the black figure was standing
there then he walked towards the figure and he walked closer and closer towards the figure
but then as soon he took another step and blinked the black was gone then he looked at the
back of his shoulder then caught a glimpse of the black figure again walking somewhere but
it was gone in a split second. He then spotted broken stairs going up to the second floor he
went up the stairs and he saw 4 rooms one on the left of him one on the right one on the
front and one at the back of him. 

So what he did he went to the one at the back of him first because it was the closest one
near here. he opened the door and said “ hello anyone here ” but as he was opening the
door the door made a funny fart noise and he giggled a little then he saw a bed in the room
but the bed was all broken up when he looked at the closet it slightly moved a little he was
scared and curious to find out what made it moved. As he went into the closet he saw stuff
moving in the corner. He was hoping for the black figure he saw but it was just a raccoon
“Ugh a racoon”he said but he saw the racoon eating a doll. Then he went to the room on
the left and the door was already opened as like someone wanted him to go in there.
When he went inside he saw a doll house with 5 stuffed animals. He looked at every
one and he thinks what animals there are. So he looks at the 5 animals the first one
was a dog, a cat, an elephant, lizard and then the last animal was difficult so he
closed his eyes and thought of the animal he saw it had wings and it had a beak
then he started to think of a bird it wasn’t any kind of bird it was a vulture “a ha i got it”
he said. But when he looked at the vulture the vulture's head moved positions the head

of the vulture was leaning to the left and not its straight. But then when
he looked at the other animals the animals were in different places.
He found a pillow on the side of him and held on it tightly and was
thinking about the animals. After 5 minutes he got out and went to the
next room but then he heard noises in the room he was just in. He went
back and everything was gone the doll house and the stuffed animals too
and all was left there was the pillow he held on. It was really weird to here
something then everything vanishing. He then went to the room on the right
it looked like the same as the first room he went in. But then he heard a voice saying
“ come in this room ”. He didn’t know what room the voice said so he went to the door
in front of him he went in the door started to make squeaking noises. When he got
inside of the room the door behind him shut so he ran back at the door trying to open
the door but he couldn’t when he pulled he could feel on his hands that there is
something at the door holding it so he can’t get free. 

When he let go of the door he looked behind him and he saw the black figure.
He saw it on the tip of his shoulder, he saw it over his ear, he saw it on the bed
he saw the black figure everywhere. So then he got terrified, and he ran to the
door and bang he busted it open. Feeling pain in his left shoulder his legs also but then he
  could hear something walking down stairs so he quickly got up and quietly walked down
stairs, he made kept on making sounds every time he step’s he hears a crack.
When he was sick of the noise he looked down and he could see a scratch marks
on the floor and right next to the scratch marks he finds a lighter.
“Yes” the boy said as he continued to walk he could see that whatever made
the noise down stairs was just a dark black pussy cat. 

When he walked up to the dark cat he wanted to pet it but he was scared that it
might bite him. “ What could possibly go wrong” as he went to pet the cat the cat
bite him “ OW ” he said then the dark black cat ran into a whole next to the stairs.
He saw that the house was getting a bit clear like the house was getting light. He saw
that the clouds were not covering the moon anymore and then the moon changed
shape it was a half moon and now it is a full moon. He was getting inches, he started
getting long hair, he was getting hairy and hes nails were long and sharp they were sharper
than glass and thorns. “ W-what’s happening to me” ahhhhhhhhhh” He realized that he
was turning into a cat. 

Than some came and knocked on the door because he too heard noise.
Then the guy who was turning into a cat looked back with an ugly scary black face.
Then the guy at the door was waiting ” helooooooo any one hereeeeee” “Grrrrrrrrr”
then the cat ran up to the guy at the door.   “RRRROOOAAARRR” “AHHHHHHHHH”
the guy said next to the door as the cat man rushed up to him the guy at the door closed it
and ran away but the cat was thirsty for blood……….… RRROOOAARRR To be continued.

Digital Immersion

Garry from Digital Immersion. We learnt to programmed a robot to move from one place to the another by programming it.
It used a very special language called binary. It was hard to use it but then we got the hang of it and started working. We also looked a the words and they had colors like blue and purple. Its was called on and off . We used a app that was called mBlock is an app that you could code the robots what you ask them to do. 

In fact robots are actually dumb but they are not dumb if we tell them what to do. Like an example if i told you to move 2 spaces and your  next to the eage you will say "nah" or "why should I" but if you code and to move 2 spaces i will do it and fall down. My  group had heaps of fun but in the begging it was very   challenging, and wish to go and have another session with him again

This morning room 10 and i went to kiwi can after gymnastics in the hall. When we went to kiwi can we had a topic and a theme the topic was Problem solving and theme was resilience. When we finished talking about it we went to our Game. The game was called human knot when we were playing the teacher told us how to play we spited into two groups but it was boys vs girls. It was difficult but we mannered to untie our selves.

How to play

1. Split into two groups you could do boys vs girsl
2. lift you right hand up and hold that person hands that is across of you (Not next to you)
3. Then you try to untangle your hands like a circle.

This morning room 10 went to the hall to do gymnastics with a person named Kane. Kane was showing us how to do the stuff he set up for us. He split us up into 6 groups of 3 and he also told us to make sure we needed to finish our courses that he set up for us. We learnt a lot of things that we didn't even know how to do. There was candle stick, bunny hop, cut wheel over the mat, and also to do the ball tuck.

When we finish doing one courses we switch around places so that we all get to have a change to do every thing so that we don't be bored. When we all get to do all of the courses we all get to do star jumps and then we went back to class and then have morning tea

i really feel happy because when they he came i felt excited and very happy.

Kiwi Can

This morning Room 10 kids went to kiwi can at 10.00 when we got there we had to sit on the mat in a circle. We had a new topic and a new theme the theme was resilience and the topic was goal settings. We first played a game called order up and how you play is that you gotta go in tallest to smallest. When you done that you need to put your names in order from A to Z and then we talked about what is goal settings. Goal settings mean like when you trying to do something you never done before like tackling a big guy means that you done your goal. 

Then we went to play another game called up or down. So how you play is that you need to think of a goal of points like 1000 points and there lots of different numbers there were 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500. There were meanings of the points 100 was easy, 200 was medium easy, 300 was medium, 400 was medium hard and 500 was hard about like 3 min later we were losing. Group one was the group coming 1st and already got to there goal and group 3 was coming 2nd and group 3 was coming 3rd and we were coming last.
When we finished the game we went to morning tea and continued the day.

I really feel great about kiwi can because it is fun, and also wish for kiwi can to be every day.

Mihi presentation Term 1

Thursday 5 of April 2018 the whole school said there mihi but only some of them.
Room 1 went first but it was interesting because the
little ones could speak confidently.

Next, it was room 7 i like there one because they also
spoke confidently but little bit down more.
After, them it was room 4 room.
Room 4 was kind of excellent but because
of there voice’s i hope they can speak up more so the
people can hear them. Then it came to room 10 we
were confident even the
teachers think we were excellent so then we finish.

Then room 5 room five were really good
but there voice was to fast it was hard to hear them.
Finally, it was room 9 they were confident
and there voice was good. Then we have to go
back to class so then the teacher sended has first because we were the confident class but our teacher said
“let’s pack up for today” then we did we picked up
all the chairs and put them away.

I really like mihi's because we get to know about
that person who is saying it and i also like because
it could be people’s first time speaking in maori.

Friday 25th August the yr6's from room 8 went to kiwi can with the room 10 we had kiwi can and we have a them and a topic the topic is self control and we need to talk about it and how we can control our negative emotion and positive emotion and then we move on to the theme which is resilience we also have a game after we talk about the theme the game we played was a fun game.

This is how you play you need one ball and you have to make a circle but standing up and you toes has to touch the other person’s toes and then you try and roll the ball between the person legs and if it’s goes under then you are out and then join with the next person’s toes and keep on playing and here are the rules.

1. You can only use one hand and put the other hand at the back
2. You can block with one hand if the ball comes to you
3. You can switch hands if the other one gets tired then you can switch

and when we finish we have another game and the game was called musical bum’s it when the music plays and when it stop’s then you need to sit down but you legs folded and if you are the last one or you sit down but your are not folded then you are out and then when we finish then it is morning tea

I feel happy because it is fun and i wish if we can have it every day

What you need

1. 2 slices of Bread
2. Cheese
3. 1Tomato
4. lettuce
5. 1Egg
6. Butter
7. Butter knife

Instructions

1. First you will need 2 freshly cooked slice of bread bread and you put the butter on the bread

2. Next you fry the egg and put it on the butter.
3. Then you will need a slice of cheese a fresh cheese not rotten please.
4. Take the butter knife and cut the tomato into 2 pieces
5. Then the lettuce from the fridge then you put that on top of the tomato

i have too cool today we did  tech in room 8 and we learnt about Interior Designers. I was creating my dreaming room and it was so so fun we first we had to create the walls and then the beds and put dogs in side and stuff

How to make Takakau

We are learning to follow the structure of a procedural text.

Introduction: Takakau is a maori bread that was first made when the Europeans came to New Zealand and they brought flour to the country. You use butter and syrup to soften it or you can have it with a boil up.

ingredients

1 teaspoon salt (to your taste)

2 cups flour

2 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

100 ml milk or water

First Mix the flour,salt,and baking powder together

Then sift or mix all the ingredients together.

Slowly add in the milk to the middle of the bowl and stir it.

Then knead the dough.

Place the dough into a pan and make it flat

Then it is ready to be cooked in the oven for half an hour at 200 degrees Celsius and eaten.

One day my friends family and me went for a camp in the forest. It was pretty scary when we put up our tent because it was already night time. it was not long then my friends family was fast asleep.but i couldn't sleep because there was lot’s of strange noise.the next morning we didn’t have breakfast cos my friend left the food at home yesterday when we had nothing to eat we went to look for well we were looking for water we can always see a man so tall that he is in a suit we couldn’t see his face so when we tried to take a photo it won't let us take a picture so we run back and told my friends mum then she said this is not good she said to us i will tell you why it is not good but i will tell you at night 10min later i have seen it before and it came for me the reason why you can’t take a photo cos he blocked your single when i was a little kid my friend and i went camping once when my friend was missing and every night and every morning i could see her standing next to a man in a suit and tall they call him slenderman

what is matariki???

What is Matariki???

The reappearance of the seven Matariki stars, in late May or early June, signals the beginning of the Maori New Year.and the full name of matariki “Nga mata a te Ariki and also name pleiades. There were growing kumara and they harvest it.all 7 stars are named te uru o te rangi, Tupua a Rangi, tupua a Nuku, Waiti Waita,Waipuna a Rangi and Merope. A cluster is a group of stars that are near each other in space.when seen from earth,the stars in a constellation appear to be close together in a pattern but they might actually be far from each other.Matariki is a time to celebrate new year but actually maori people will celebrate matariki now in early june or late may.There are two meanings for matariki matariki means tiny eyes and mata ariki means the eye of god. Matariki is the constellation of star known in many parts of the world

Matariki is the Maori name for the star cluster known as a Pleiades. Traditionally for Maori when it appeared just before dawn late May or early June. One of the translation for Matariki likes to make their kite and net’s and the mother of the stars is surrounded with her daughters and the daughters are part of the stars too.

I feel quite sad for does who had pass away and the celebration of maori new year.
